Outcrossing

My first book, Outcrossing, is available for free where you get your ebooks. Rufus is struggling to keep his life together in 1922 after tremendous personal losses and the Great War. Ferry has taken a job as a governess to avoid an unwanted marriage. Rufus gets caught up with smugglers in England’s New Forest. They have to figure out a way to move forward together.

Cover of Outcrossing. A silhouetted man and woman in 1920s clothing standing next to each other, silhouetted on a green background. A chestnut pony's head is inset in the top right.

Forged in Combat

Forged in Combat is a novella set in 1884 exploring the romance of Melusina and Arthur (parents of Roland, whose romance is in Carry On in 1915). Arthur has committed to a life in the British Army, working his way up the ranks. Melusina has been sent to deal with a particular problem in the Viceroy’s Palace in Calcutta, the sort of problem that requires both magical warding and lock picks. Navigating the social assumptions of those around her is, perhaps, the most complex part of the assignment. Free wherever you get your ebooks!

Cover of Forged in Combat. A man and a woman in silhouette on a teal green background. She is wearing a Victorian bustle dress, his clothing fits with military uniform of the time. A bright red hibiscus highlights the top corner of the cover.

Prequel Novella

Ancient Trust is a great way to get to know Lord Geoffrey Carillon and his valet, Thomas Benton, as they return to Albion when Carillon inherits the land magic after the death of his older brother in early 1922.

It overlaps with the events of Outcrossing and introduces a number of other ongoing characters in Albion including Alysoun and Richard Edgarton (seen in Pastiche and other books) and Giles Lefton (whose romance Wards of the Roses takes place in late 1920.)

The cover of Ancient Trust has a man in silhouette with a monocle leaning on a table piled with books on a background of bright spring green and golden yellow, with an owl looking down from an inset in the top left.
