Alchemical Reactions

In 1948, Jehan  - alchemist, teacher, and head of Schola's prestigious Fox House - is introduced to a baker at a party. Isaac's been limited in his love of pastry by food rationing, especially for the last two years with even flour in limited supply. He's not looking for love. He's busy with tending the well-being of the land, training his apprentice, and looking forward to a day with a little more interesting baking in it.

It turns out that alchemy and baking - and alchemists and bakers - can have quite a lot in common.
